Job Profile & Educational Qualification for RRB Stenography :
Junior Stenographer / Hindi:
- This requires typing knowledge in Hindi
- 12th from a recognized Board or University. The shorthand speed of 80 words per minute for the duration of 10 minutes with transcription time of 65 minutes.
Junior Stenographer / English:
- This requires typing in English
- 12th from a recognized Board or University. The shorthand speed of 80 words per minute for the duration of 10 minutes with transcription time of 50 minutes.
Junior Translator / Hindi:
- They have to be a translator. They should Translate Hindi to the required language
- Degree from a University with English or Hindi as a mandatory subject or as a medium of an exam at Degree level.
- Diploma course or Certification Course in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa or 2-years’ of experience in translating work.
RRB MI Stenographer English And Hindi Syllabus:
The exam pattern would be different for Stenographer when compared to other groups. The CBT exam for them is as mentioned below. The model would be the same for both Hindi and English
After the CBT exam, they would be asked to perform the Stenography and translation test.
The third stage is Document Verification and Medical Examination.
The question paper for the Junior Stenographer (Hindi) & also (English) will consist of two parts. The pattern is given below:

Note:
All the candidates will have to attend both sections and pass separately and both the sections will be given in a single paper.
RRB Stenography Skill Test Exam Pattern (For Junior Stenographer/Hindi & English Posts)
Along with the CBT test, there shall be a Shorthand Test. The candidates have to pass the Stenography Skill Test as per the criteria mentioned below:

Note:
- The Stenography Skill Test will be conducted on a Computer only without any editing tools and spell check facility.
- Merit list for the post of Junior Stenographer will be prepared based on the aggregation of marks obtained in both CBT and Stenography Skill Test.

- For General Category candidates: Rs. 500/-

Pay Scale:
- Junior Stenographer English: Level 4 in 7th CPC with Pay Rs. 25500/-
- Junior Stenographer Hindi: Level 4 in 7th CPC with Pay Rs. 25500/-
- Junior Translator Hindi: Level 6 in 7th CPC with Pay Rs. 35400/-

- Candidates are required to fill Name of the candidate, date of birth, also the candidate’s Father and mother’s name should be mentioned as per 10th class certificate.

- Candidates should have 10th, 12th, Graduation Mark sheets to fill Online Application Correctly.
- Scanned Copy of Recent Photography & Signature (In Prescribed Size).
- Link for Online Application & Fee Payment will be available till the Last Date.
- Candidates need to take Print Out of Filled Application Form for future Reference.
