RRB ALP is a national level recruitment drive to fill about 23801 vacancies for Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) and Technicians in Indian Railways. The recruitment drive will be organized and managed by one of the 21 Regional Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB) for all the regions.

RRB ALP Educational Qualification

1. Applicants must have to complete the ITI which should be approved by NCVT/SCVT in any specific trade to become eligible for the RRB ALP post.

2. Applicants have completed a diploma in the following engineering field recognized by AICTE are also eligible.

RRB ALP Responsibilities:

• Providing assistance to the Loco Driver in fine-tuning the locomotive
• Helping in minor repairing of the locomotive
• Understanding and identifying defects in tracks from jerks
• Checking the locomotive regularly to ensure its efficiency
• Working for the maintenance, safety, security, and productivity of the locomotive
• Keeping watch on railway signal
